[Res-announce] School Closing: Thursday, May 17

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM DR. ALLEN FOSSBENDER, SUPERINTENDENT OF
SCHOOLS:

 

At the recommendation of the Redding first selectman and the Redding
chief of police, Redding Elementary School, John Read Middle School, and
Joel Barlow High School will be closed Thursday, May 17. Extensive
storm-related damage throughout Redding is blocking many roads, making
most bus transportation to the schools impossible on Thursday. 

 

Easton Public Schools will be open, as usual, on Thursday, May 17.
There is not very much storm-related damage in Easton.
