A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM DR. ALLEN FOSSBENDER, SUPERINTENDENT

 

Please note that Easton Public Schools are open on Thursday, May 17.  It
will be a regular day of classes at Samuel Staples Elementary School and
Helen Keller Middle School.

 

However, at the recommendation of the Redding first selectman and the
Redding chief of police, Redding Elementary School, John Read Middle
School, and Joel Barlow High School will be closed to all students
Thursday, May 17. Extensive storm-related damage throughout Redding is
blocking many roads, making most bus transportation to the schools
impossible on Thursday. 

 

There is relatively little storm-related damage in Easton; therefore,
the public schools in Easton will be open on Thursday, May 17.
